Habi

Privacy Policy — Habi

Habit builder for kids with ADHD.

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Habi (“the app”) is designed for families and stores everything locally on your device. We do not have servers, we do not collect analytics, and we do not have accounts.

What the app stores

The app stores the following data only on the device where it is installed:

  • Child profiles you create (a name you type, plus an internal identifier).
  • Habit/task definitions you create (title, icon, color, schedule, points).
  • Completion records showing which tasks were completed and when.
  • Optional photos taken with the device camera to mark a task complete. These photos are saved into the app’s own private storage and are never uploaded.
  • A locally chosen admin password used to restrict access to the settings area.

All of this is stored using standard iOS file storage and UserDefaults. It is included in your device’s iCloud or iTunes backup if you have those enabled — that is between you and Apple, not us.

What the app does NOT do

  • We do not transmit any of your data over the internet.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third‑party SDKs.
  • We do not require an account, email address, phone number, or login.
  • We do not sell or share data, because we never receive any data to begin with.

Permissions we ask for

  • Camera — required only if you choose “Photo” as the completion method for a task. The captured photo is saved into the app’s private storage on your device.
  • Photo Library — used as a fallback in simulators and on devices without a camera, to pick an image as a completion. The chosen image is copied into the app’s private storage.

You can revoke either permission in iOS Settings → Privacy at any time.

Children’s privacy

The app is intended to be set up by a parent or guardian and used together with a child. Because no data ever leaves the device, the app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. No personal information is transmitted to us or to any third party.

If the app is later updated to add cloud features, this policy will be updated and parents will be notified inside the app before any data leaves the device.

Deleting your data

  • To delete a single child’s data (including all their tasks, completion history, and photos), open the admin area, pick the child, and delete them.
  • To delete everything, delete the app from your device. iOS removes all of the app’s local storage when the app is uninstalled.
